This Kitten Purchase Agreement is made and entered into between Bastcats Cattery ("Seller") and the undersigned Buyer ("Buyer") for the purchase of a kitten under the terms outlined below.

 

1. Purchase Price & Deposit

The total purchase price of the kitten is $1,600.00 (One Thousand Six Hundred U.S. Dollars). OR $3000 (Three Thousand U.S. Dollars) for two kittens going together of same or similar age.

This price includes the cost of the kitten and the following services completed prior to transfer:

Veterinary check-up

Spay or neuter

Microchip

Deworming

Vaccinations started

30 day health insurance (buyer must activate)

A non-refundable deposit of $350.00 (Three Hundred Fifty U.S. Dollars) is required to reserve one (specific or future) kitten or $700 for two kittens from Bastcats Cattery. This deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price. Once a deposit is placed for a specific, the reserved kitten will be held exclusively for the Buyer and will not be sold to another party.

The deposit holds the kitten until the age of 16 weeks, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties. The remaining balance must be paid either at the time of transfer or prior to travel if shipping/long distance delivery is required.

 

2. Payment Methods:

If paying at the time of transfer, payment must be made using an instant payment method such as cash, CashApp, or Venmo, unless other arrangements have been pre-approved by the Seller. If using any other payment method, the full balance must be paid in advance to ensure funds have cleared before the kitten is transferred to the Buyer.

 

3. Shipping & Travel Expenses:

Shipping and travel expenses outside of the Buffalo, Oklahoma area are not included in the purchase price and must be paid separately by the Buyer. While Bastcats Cattery has no control over shipping expenses, the Seller will make every effort to find reasonable airfare while prioritizing the kitten’s comfort and safety.

 

4. Buyer Information Updates:

The Buyer agrees to notify Bastcats Cattery promptly if there are any changes to their address, phone number, or email contact information.

 

5. Health Guarantee:

The Seller guarantees that the kitten is in sound health and free from any infectious diseases at the time of transfer. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to maintain the kitten’s health through proper diet, veterinary care, and protection from environmental hazards. The Buyer agrees to have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of receipt to confirm satisfactory health. If a licensed veterinarian determines within this time frame that the kitten has a pre-existing health condition, the Buyer must notify the Seller immediately for resolution options.

 

6. Extended Health Guarantee:

Fatal Heart Defects: The Seller provides a health guarantee against fatal congenital heart defects until the kitten reaches five (5) years of age. If a licensed veterinarian confirms that the kitten has passed due to a congenital heart defect within this period, the Buyer must provide a full veterinary report, including a necropsy if required, to the Seller. In such a case, the Seller agrees to offer a replacement kitten of similar quality and value, subject to availability. Refunds are not provided.

 

7. Deposit & Refund Policy:

The Buyer understands and agrees that the $350.00/700 deposit is non-refundable for any reason. However, if the reserved kitten develops differently than expected at the time of deposit placement, the Buyer may choose to transfer the deposit to a different available kitten at Bastcats Cattery or go on the waiting list for a future kitten. Pricing may vary depending on the selected kitten.

 

8. Agreement Acceptance:

By signing below, both Buyer and Seller acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Agreement.
